The Artist’s Mother is a work that explores hidden stories of women. The artwork is an embodiment of an abstraction, an idea about femininity. It investigates the issues of labors through gestures of stitching in a durational setting. The artist embodies the spirit of Classical Greece, exemplified by the Parthenon. It critiques the violent attacks on Palestine by Israel in 2015, killing over 200 Palestinian people.
